On West Tabb Street, in the heart of Old Towne Petersburg, sits a seven-story early 20th Century Second Renaissance Revival-style hotel. In 1916, during a time of growth in local industry, the hotel became paramount not only for visitors but as a meeting place for local politicians. As fate would have it, in 1969, a fire ravaged the fourth and fifth floors of the hotel, forcing it to close.

Fast forward to the present time, the story of Hotel Petersburg has come full circle. As Downtown Petersburg experiences a rebirth of its own, we have restored our beloved building, transforming it into a boutique hotel designed to meet the needs of today’s modern travelers. Hotel Petersburg is once again at the center of it all, playing a pivotal role in our renowned city’s revitalization.
